A good game, and good graphics. Can enlarge. But no way to replay game easily if you lose: no “back button”. Also, some programming errors, as you can move cards when not allowed: for example, can move 3 cards when you should be able to move only 2.
PRetty darn good, not quite as slick as the free version once supplied by Windows, but pretty close. Graphics not especially crisp and have not discovered that they save the statistics (games won/lost), but basically a very nice version, and definitely…. the price is right- haven’t played long enough to be sure but think the promise of unlimited play is valid. See the apps free Hearts for an unfavorable comparison (hearts is clunky and after a while wants you to buy more games). This version of Free Cell gets a thumbs up, 4.75 stars, a few amenities would have earned 5 stars from this reviewer.
It’s not as good as Free Cell apps on iPad/iPhone but not too bad. My main irritation is that you can’t replay the same game if it doesn’t work out the first time.
No major criticisms, but a couple of features I like are missing, like start over and automatic card on card placement. Having to place my own cards does help bolster my game skills and you can always start over by clicking "undo" enough times.
It’s a fun game. However it doesn’t provide any directions or let you keep track of of wins and losses. Granted it’s not a big deal but it’s fun to keep track.
Played many “free” Freecell games. I like the auto fill features, however, the game lets me make moves I should not some times when there are not enough open spaces.
Love the game, a form of solataire that makes you think more. I miss the stats so you can see how you are doing in the series of games you play.
It works ok but there are a few quirky issues when moving multiple cards and some of the auto functions
Having played many Free Cell games this one is very good. Graphics are Ok but changeable. While other similiar free cell games also have their pluses and minuses, this one provides three different levels of difficulties. I like it because I just like to relax playing a non-comlex game.
I as many others have enjoyed the Windows version of Free Cell. I liked the look of it, the ease of play, and the quickness of the automatic moves. I have tried several backgrounds and card styles, but they don’t suit my eye the way the Windows game did. Also, when you win, the “celebrating” goes on way too long. The automatic moves are very slow. Overall it’s not too bad.
Like windows free cell better. Maybe it’s just what i am used to. This was ok, none the less
Freecell is a game of skill and I find this version of freecell challeging and fun!
I really enjoy this game. Play it a few times every day. I cannot give it enough stars. My only complaint is after winning a game you are taken to a page that has so many fireworks I have a difficult time finding my mouse arrow to start another game. Otherwise, perfect!
I always enjoy tjis game! The game seems fair and competitive at the same time.
needs hint and better assumptions for auto movement
Not outrageously sophisticated -- but it absolutely does the job if you like FreeCell. Like many here, I became attached to it in Windows. Mac versions are generally not as user friendly as Windows, but this one does a very good job of letting you build a decent game for yourself. Lots of visual options in terms of the deck and colors -- thats nice. Also, varied skill levels. Like many, I miss very much having the numbers of each game so I could call up a number already played and try again to beat it. But -- cant have everything. FreeCell is, in my opinion, the perfect blend of luck with skill, and getting a game that lets you manipulate the cards according to your skill is imperative. So far -- this game does that for me. Im satisfied.
The game itself is fine. It needs: A restart this game option; new game option, optional timer, and an optional number of moves, all individually set. Undo to the beginning is the only way to restart the game. The fireworks needs an option to turn on or off, not all of us need said reward. All this being said, it is very playable, the card and background settings are nice, with and without music is good. I like the auto complete.
this is ok for now, but im hoping to find the game i had on my ipad for my new iMac …I’m disappointed with this game not doing as much as my ipad one did...
I do not recomment this version of FreeCell. My main objection is that it does not keep a running total of wins and loses. The other objection I have is in the automated moves. They are erratic. There are times that they move back and forth from one free cell to another when there is a legal move for the card on the board. Or it moves back and forth between the same two legal moves on the board when there is a third move that can be made. You then have to manually move the card(s) to the third place. I can go on with examples of the erratic play but I think you get the point.
